3 Free Olay Body Washes

This deal seems too good to be true, but I'm going to assume it works because the free Olay Quench lotion was good. (I received my check a couple weeks ago!)  Okay, if you do this right you can actually make some money off this one.....

Go to Target, where they currently have a deal on Olay Body Wash - receive a $5 gift card when you buy 3 bodywashes ($5.99 each).  I used a couple of $1 Olay Coupons (P&G Brandsaver) to get an extra $2 off.

Then print out a $15 rebate form from Olay, and send in your receipt with this form to receive a rebate check in the mail.

How easy is that?  In the end I have 3 free body washes that cost $1 altogether & a $5 Target gift card on top of that.  Great deal!

Thanks, Stretching a Buck!

Free Midwest Living Subscription

If you like the magazine Midwest Living, or need to buy a gift for someone who does, now is the time to get a 1-year subscription to this magazine for free.  It's done through Mercury Magazines and there are some surveys to fill out.  I didn't personally take advantage of this deal, but my resource says it's legit.

Thanks, Coupon Cravings!

$1 Lipsmacker Coupon

Have I mentioned yet that I'm a lipgloss fanatic?  (I've also got a fetish for pens.)  The first one I ever owned was a Lipsmacker, and I remember losing it in 3rd grade when I chose to put it in my pocket while playing in the ball pit.  Not smart.  And sad.  Since then my lipgloss preferences have become more refined, but I just might use this great $1/1 Lipsmacker coupon to try a taste from the past.  Let's see....will it be bubble gum or Dr. Pepper?

Thanks, Good Deal Mama!

Free Lemonheads

I'm a sucker for candy.  I inherited my donut-loving dad's sweet tooth & my mother's love for anything lemon-flavored.  So I'm pouncing on this offer for a free sample of Tropical Chewy Lemonheads.  Maybe I'll share some with my son, and pass on the sweet tooth.....

Thanks, Common Sense with Money!

Just press "comment" below and you'll be given a space to write a short answer to this one.  Thanks so much!!

50-70% off Local Gift Certificates

I just found some great sites for buying local gift certificates at 50-70% off the price!  Businesses post their gift certificates to these sites, and you can buy them at a fraction of the cost.  What a fun way to enjoy a night away, a massage, going out to eat, etc.  Going local can be cheap again!  I've got 3 sites for you....
Groupon covers many major cities in the US.  There is a new gift certificate (for each city) listed each day-- and when you buy it you have to use it THAT day.  Perfect for those of us who love spontaneity.  You can also choose to just have the new groupon emailed to you each day.  Sorry WI people, there's not much on here for us.  Milwaukee technically is on this list, but I saw no gift certificates listed right now.

On Half Off Deals, you just put in your zip code & the deals for your area will appear.  These gift certificates are advertised at half off, but many go as far as 70% off their face value.  They will expire within a few months, so make sure to check the expiration before you purchase one.  My sweet husband has been wanting to ski all winter, but has instead worked hard on our house & saving $.  Now is a great opportunity to swipe him a gift card to the slopes at 70% off!  Nordic Mountain, here Casey comes....shhh, don't ruin his Valentine's surprise if you see him!

My previous purchase led me to this site- this is a Wisconsin deal site that has a bunch of gift certificates for a fraction of the cost as well.  Not all of these are listed on Half Off Deals, so it's worth checking UnBeelievable Buys as well.  Click on the clearance area to see all of the deals that are around 70% off.

Thanks, Mommy Snacks!

Children's Place Winter Clearance

I just made a quick stop at the Children's Place Outlet (Oshkosh) today, & thought I'd let y'all know that their winter clearance is still going strong right now.  There are a ton of $2.99 & $1.99 racks.  Anything from velvet Christmas dresses ($1.99) to rugby sweaters ($2.99).  I picked up a darling fall black coat for my baby girl for $1.99.  Ooh, and these mittens & matching hat for $0.99 each!
And if you go, make sure to print this 15% off coupon to take with you!

Lacura Make-up

Is anyone else frustrated when your eye shadow is down to a few flecks of powder or your mascara wand is merely petting your eyelashes rather than applying anything....because make-up is SO expensive to replace these days?  I especially get frustrated with mascara because it dries out so quickly and has to be replaced more often.  Since motherhood, I have been known to sometimes sport the gloppy stuff that's drying out...just b/c I'm too cheap and am waiting for the next great mascara sale!  Plus, all items I use on my eyes have to be hypoallergenic, & if I go with anything else my eyes are so irritated they are pouring out tears (literally) by the end of the day in an effort to rid themselves of the make-up.  This greatly limits my options & the only mascara brands I've found to work are Clinique (expensive!), Almay, & Physician's Formula.

I am happy to say I can add a new line of super-affordable make-up to my list.  Lacura is a European line that is made out of many natural ingredients.  Their mascara was only $3.99 so I thought I'd try it.  I've been using it for a few weeks now and could not be more pleased with it.  How fun to have a natural mascara (made with beeswax) for such a great price!  I'm working on sampling their other products...I just bought their moisturizer & eye cream tonight.  I don't recommend their lip gloss, but that's a personal choice.  (I like things that taste good.  I also wouldn't recommend Chapstick...I like fruity & minty glosses.)

Okay, so where in the world can you find this stuff?  Here:
Yes, go to your local Aldi grocery store.  I know, I know.  That's the cheap store with the carts you pay for (it's actually just a $0.25 deposit that you get back later), have fewer choices (that's why the store is SO cheap!), and you have to bring your own bag (they were the original store that inspired us all to go green!)  I highly suggest that you find yourself a local Aldi & give it a shot, even if it's just to try out their cheap, quality make-up line.  And maybe while you're there you can try out their groceries....so much quality for such a low price.

Piggly Wiggly, Feb. 10-17

Crest Toothpaste:
Piggly Wiggly Ad coupon = $0.99
$0.75 Crest Coupon from P&G Insert (Feb)
$0.99-$0.75 = $0.25

Um, yeah....that's an amazing deal for a tube of toothpaste!  There's also a couple of ad coupons for milk ($1.89) & bread ($0.69).  The coupon match-ups I did weren't so hot this week, mostly because the rest of the Pig's sales didn't line up to make any super great deals.  But I hope you enjoy your cheap toothpaste.  And if you go, don't forget your $10/$60 coupon for Ted's.

Up & Up Formula Clearance

For all of you mommas who buy formula for your babies, this is a deal you won't want to miss.  I was at Target today and found that they are starting to clearance their super value section, including their Up & Up Infant Formula (Target's generic brand).  Here's the rundown....

An average 25 oz. can of Up & Up formula is normally around $11-12
The super value section had a set of two cans for $19
When clearanced at 15% off, the set of 2 cans was $16.82 = $8.41/can ($0.34/oz)

(There's also a $1/$3 Up & Up purchase coupon that can be found in various magazines these days....I think I found mine in Family Circle & Family Fun.-- That can bring the price down to $0.32/oz!)
As a comparison, the best formula that I can find at regular pricing is the Sams Club Members Mark formula, which is $0.39/oz.  So this particular Target clearance is a really great deal.  Pass it on to any moms you know!

10% off Menards

Since I'm spending all of my time there these days, I can't help but share that Menards is running a deal this week where you get a 10% rebate on ALL purchases made with a Big card (Menards credit card). A great, great deal...especially when you pair it with items that are already on sale!

Okay, no more boring home stuff. I know that if you're like me, you're a mom that avoids Menards at all costs. But this mom is currently spending all of my time and $ at Menards (comes with buying a foreclosure!)....so I thought I'd share this deal with anyone who's a hardy Tool Time girl.
